Not In Our State: Arizona Takes a Stand
I was honored to receive a proclamation from the Arizona State Senate declaring “Not In Our State” and officially recognizing January as Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Month. This was on behalf of Not in our City/ Town. This declaration is more than ceremonial—it reflects a growing, unified commitment to confront human trafficking across our state.
My sincere thanks to Shawnna Bolick for championing this proclamation on the Senate floor, and to Warren Petersen for his leadership and support. Their willingness to stand publicly on this issue sends a clear message: human trafficking has no place in Arizona.
Awareness matters—but action matters more.
That’s why I invite you to join us for Night of Hope on February 22nd, an evening dedicated to shining a light in the darkness and mobilizing our communities to take action. Night of Hope brings together advocates, faith leaders, and community members committed to protecting the vulnerable and supporting survivors.
Hope grows when people show up.
Thank you to our state leaders, partners, and every individual who refuses to stay silent. Together, we will continue to say—clearly and boldly—human trafficking is not in our state.
