What Your Health Says About You: A Cry for Alignment
By Bus Obayomi
Health is not just physical—it’s personal, spiritual, and emotional.
Our health is a reflection of our entire being. It speaks, and when it does, we must learn to listen.
Health Is a Messenger
Our physical symptoms are often messengers of a deeper story.
I’ve battled fatigue for as long as I can remember—not the kind that a good night’s sleep can fix, but the kind that lingers in the bones, in the mind, in the spirit. I’ve had countless check-ups, tests, and appointments—most of them inconclusive. No real answers. Just suggestions to “rest more” or “reduce stress.”
But how do you rest when the weight of responsibility is heavy?
Physical Fatigue: The Weight of the Journey
Physically, I’ve lived with pain that I’ve learned to ignore.
Chronic knee pain since my teenage years.
Full-body fatigue that shows up without invitation.
Some days, even standing feels impossible. And still, I move. But behind the motion is a body asking for help.
Mental Fatigue: The Weight of Possibility
There’s a constant noise in my mind.
What do I need to do next?
How can I be better?
Am I doing enough?
Even when I’m not working, I’m thinking. Constantly replaying and strategizing. That pressure wears on the soul.
Spiritual Fatigue: The Unseen Warfare
Then there’s the kind of tiredness that doesn’t come from work or lack of sleep—spiritual fatigue. The kind that comes from battles you can’t explain. It’s a cry of the soul for alignment with the One who wired us—body, soul, and mind.
Sometimes, what we call burnout is really a soul that’s been running on empty.
The Call to Wholeness
If you’re tired in ways you can’t explain, don’t just look for a physical solution. Ask:
What emotional weight am I carrying?
Where am I out of alignment spiritually?
What is my body trying to tell me?
Health is holistic. You can’t heal the body while ignoring the mind or the spirit.
Final Thoughts
Healing is not always instant—and not always physical.
Sometimes it’s found in surrender. In prayer. In learning to say no. In surrounding yourself with the right people. In rest.
Take care of your body—but don’t forget to care for your soul and mind too.
Because your health… is speaking.
Are you listening?
